Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi have started for Crystal Palace in their Premier League opener against Chelsea on Sunday, despite being in talks with Tottenham and Liverpool respectively.
Talks over potential moves are advanced for both players and will start again after the game.
Speaking before the game at Stamford Bridge, Palace manager Oliver Glasner said: "Marc [Guehi] and Eze trained well the whole week. Of course there is no reason not to start them.
"Don't believe everything you read in the newspapers."
On Saturday, BBC Sport reported that Tottenham were accelerating their move to sign 27-year-old Eze, having been in discussions over a transfer since the start of the week.
