In a recent feature for Sky Sports News, Crystal Palace Ladies players Nikita Whinnett and Megen Lynch spoke openly about their life together and a shared future becoming adoptive parents.
The pair - respectively opposites on the pitch as a forward and goalkeeper - are engaged to one another and are planning to add to their busy football and work schedules by fostering in the near future.
Having been together for three-and-a-half years, Whinnett and Lynch have now recently been approved as parents to begin the adoption process.
Whinnett said, "We're at a good stage of our careers and it makes sense to foster now and obviously plan to have our own as well in the future.
