'I would be surprised if they were not looking to produce a new dynasty': Roy Hodgson insists Liverpool's new era of dominance is already underway as he heaps praise on his former club for their 'remarkable achievement'

Roy Hodgson knows all about the weight of history and expectations around Liverpool football club, having been manager 10 years ago, and says the club's owners have laid the foundations for a new 'dynasty' of success at Anfield.

This Wednesday will mark the 10th anniversary of Hodgson being appointed Liverpool manager by former owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett, before they sold to the Fenway Sports Group three months later.

And although Hodgson was sacked within three months, the Crystal Palace manager has nothing but praise for the way John Henry and chairman Tom Werner have returned them to the top of world football.
