Roy Hodgson spoke after Crystal Palace's loss to Chelsea on Sunday looking ahead to his side's game away to Wolverhampton Wanderers and defended his team as they ended 2018 in preparation for the New Year.
The Eagles finished the year with defeat but had certainly found a good vein of form in December and, by the end of it, had concluded 2018 with three wins and a draw from seven matches, scoring nine goals in the process.
Looking back over the month and season overall, Hodgson explained that his side has improved from the last campaign in many regards, stating, "We’ve had far more goal-scoring opportunities, far more possession, far more chances on goal, but we haven’t converted.
