Crystal Palace are attempting to hijack Nottingham Forest's pursuit of Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar, with Patrick Vieira keen to bring new signings through the door at Selhurst Park.
Aouar has been the subject of interest from a host of Premier League and European clubs this summer but has been edging closer to joining newly-promoted Forest.
The 24-year-old has an agreement on personal terms with Forest, however they are still short of Lyon's £13million valuation as reported by Foot Mercato.
