Crystal Palace turn to relegated pair of Alex McCarthy and Daniel Iversen to solve goalkeeper crisis as Vicente Guaita REFUSES to play for Roy Hodgson

Crystal Palace have shown an interest in Southampton's Alex McCarthy and Leicester City's Daniel Iversen as they look to bolster their goalkeeping options.

Roy Hodgson is aiming to replace Vicente Guaita who has refused to play for them.

Hodgson said: 'Guaita is disenchanted with the club. So he has made it clear that he would like to move on and he’s refusing to play. It’s up to the club to decide, not him.'

The Spanish 'keeper only played one of Palace's final 12 Premier League games last season as an injury coincided with Sam Johnstone taking his place as first-choice between the sticks.
