Crystal Palace are competing with Lyon to sign Ajax right-back Kenny Tete.
The 21-year-old was expected to join Galatasaray in a £2.7million move but that fell though and Palace have posted an interest in the Holland international.
Tete, whose father Miguel is a former European heavyweight kickboxing champion, would obviously be influenced by Frank de Boer being appointed Palace's new manager.

De Boer gave the youngster his Ajax league debut and holds him in high regard.
The new Palace coach is expected to soon stamp his authority upon the club, following his official unveiling this week.
