It's difficult to know exactly what to expect of Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Add his departure -- by far the most high profile one since Wilfried Zaha's disappointing move to Manchester United -- to the retirement of centre-back Brede Hangeland and the release of Adrian Mariappa, Marouane Chamakh and Emmanuel Adebayor, and Palace's depth suddenly becomes far shallower.
