Crystal Palace open their Premier League campaign vs. former boss Pulis

It's difficult to know exactly what to expect of Crystal Palace on Saturday.

The club have had a busy summer, recruiting Marseille's French international goalkeeper Steve Mandanda, West Ham's centre-back James Tomkins and Newcastle United's Andros Townsend -- and yet there's a question of just how much depth manager Alan Pardew has to call upon as the game against West Brom draws closer.

Speculation is rife that Yannick Bolasie, the enigmatic winger, will sign for Everton. He could even start in their opening game against Tottenham Hotspur. Add his departure -- by far the most high profile one since Wilfried Zaha's disappointing move to Manchester United -- to the retirement of centre-back Brede Hangeland and the release of Adrian Mariappa, Marouane Chamakh and Emmanuel Adebayor, and Palace's depth suddenly becomes far shallower.
