Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish 'held a secret hotel meeting with Oliver Glasner on Friday night', as the Austrian looks set to replace Roy Hodgson at Selhurst Park

Steve Parish's secret meeting with Oliver Glasner over the Crystal Palace manager's job was interrupted by guests, according to a new report.

The Crystal Palace chairman reportedly had his first face-to-face meeting with Glasner at a London hotel on Friday night, while Eagles boss Roy Hodgson was still in hospital.

Glasner is available for the task of securing Crystal Palace's season, and the Austrian coach is reportedly keen on the Premier League, and specifically the challenge at Selhurst Park.

The Sun report that Parish and Glasner met at the Hilton Hotel in Greenwich, South-East London, where they were spotted by members of the Sheffield Wednesday squad, who were also staying in the same building ahead of their Championship clash with Millwall, which the Owls won 2-0.
