Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew reveals Jonathan Benteke could feature alongside brother Christian against Middlesborough

Jonathan Benteke is in contention to make his Crystal Palace debut at Middlesbrough this Saturday, according to boss Alan Pardew.

Benteke arrived at Selhurst Park from Zulte Wagerem this summer, shortly after his older brother Christian became Palace’s record signing for £27.5 million.

Pardew has seen his attacking options limited after Loic Remy returned to Chelsea with a thigh injury, leaving the potential for the brothers to form an unlikely strike partnership.

“I will be taking him this weekend,” said the 55 year-old. “He is a young striker with natural talent, and they are not easy to find.
