Crystal Palace 2-2 Everton: Oumar Niasse punishes defensive mistake to seal draw after James McArthur and Wilfried Zaha had both given hosts the lead

Oumar Niasse won a controversial penalty before scoring Everton's second goal to secure a hard-fought point with fellow Premier League strugglers Crystal Palace.

The Eagles got off to the perfect start when James McArhur poked home into an empty net after Jordan Pickford couldn't hold onto the ball from Ruben Loftus-Cheek's shot.

But Everton were back in the game five minutes later after Niasse went down under Scott Dann's challenge, with replays suggesting there was minimal contact. Leighton Baines stepped up and slotted home the equaliser.

Wilfried Zaha then regained Palace's lead after Pickford failed to stop Joel Ward's cross, with the winger left with the easy task of guiding home the ball.
