The forward has now featured in three consecutive pre-season matches, having been sidelined by injury intermittently over the past two year period.
Now, however, he expressed his relief and confidence in being fit again and explained just how he has changed his approach to stave off continued problems.
He told Palace TV: "I feel better than I did last year for sure. I think I did more in the first week than I did in four weeks last year.
