OMAHA, Neb. -- Three women from the Creighton Volleyball team were honored by the American Volleyball Coaches Association on Tuesday with All-Region honors, with Jaela Zimmerman taking home East Region Player of the Year accolades. Zimmerman was joined by Bluejay teammates Keeley Davis and Naomi Hickman as First Team All-East Region choices.
The East Region consists of a combination of 35 teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference, America East Conference, Atlantic 10 Conference, BIG EAST Conference, Colonial Athletic Association, Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference and Patriot Leagues.
Zimmerman becomes the second player in Creighton history to be named East Region Player of the Year, joining Madelyn Cole from last season (2019).
