NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Creighton guard Marcus Zegarowski has been named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday, Dec. 17th.
Zegarowski had 13 points, six rebounds, three assists and a steal in Creighton's 86-65 win over Green Bay in his lone game last week.
The freshman floor general made 4-of-8 shots, including a career-high three three-pointers on Friday. His six rebounds also tied a career-high.
After Green Bay pulled within five points in the first eight minutes of the second half, Zegarowski scored the first five points during CU's decisive 16-5 run.
