Women's Tennis Runs Into Strong Seton Hall Squad During Second Competition Day In Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Creighton women's tennis team fell 6-1 to Seton Hall on Wednesday at the USTA National Campus in Orlando.

The Bluejays moved to 4-8 overall and 1-2 against BIG EAST competition, while the Pirates improved to 8-4 during the spring and 2-0 in league matches.

Creighton's lone win came during the No. 2 singles match. Sarah Wilcox claimed a 6-3, 5-7, 10-7 victory for her third consecutive singles win. The freshman leads the Bluejays with five singles victories this spring (5-4).

Seton Hall won 6-3 and 6-1 at the top two spots during doubles action and earned four straight-sets victory and one three-frame win to secure the overall match.
