Women’s Tennis Earns No. 7 Seed For BIG EAST Championship, Opens Play Against Seton Hall

OMAHA, Neb. – The Creighton women's tennis earned the No. 7 seed for the 2022 BIG EAST Tennis Championships Presented by JEEP in Cayce, South Carolina, the league announced on Monday afternoon. The Bluejays will open tournament play on Thursday at 8 a.m. (Central) against 10th-seeded Seton Hall.

Creighton wrapped up the regular season with an 11-7 record, including a 1-2 record against league opponents. The Bluejays on lone BIG EAST win this season came versus Providence (5-1) in Orlando, Fla. The Pirates enter the postseason sporting a 6-12 record (0-6 BIG EAST).

Creighton and Seton Hall have never meet in the BIG EAST Tournament and have only meet once before in Orlando.
