OMAHA, Neb. – Fresh off a runner-up finish in last year's BIG EAST Championships, the Creighton women's tennis team has earned the No. 5 seed for the upcoming 2024 BIG EAST Tournament Presented by JEEP in Cayce, S.C., the league announced on Monday afternoon. The Bluejays will open tournament play on Friday at 4:30 p.m. (CT) against fourth-seeded UConn.
Entering the week on a five-match winning streak, Creighton finished the regular season with a 14-6 overall record, including a 2-2 mark against BIG EAST opponents. The Bluejays lone BIG EAST wins this season came versus Seton Hall (5-2) in Orlando, Fla.
