OMAHA, Neb. – Creighton Women's Soccer's school record eight-match unbeaten streak came to an end on Thursday, Sept. 22 as the Bluejays fell to Connecticut in the BIG EAST Conference opener, 2-1.
The loss dropped Creighton to 4-1-4 overall and 0-1-0 in conference play, while Connecticut moved to 5-2-1 on the season and 1-0-0 in the BIG EAST.
After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, it was Connecticut that scratched the scoreboard first in the 51 minute. Senior Jackie Harnett sent the play into motion off a corner kick from the right side of the pitch.
