New York, N.Y. – The BIG EAST Conference unveiled the 2017 Women's Soccer Preseason Coaches' Poll on Thursday, Aug. 10th, with Creighton picked to finish eighth.

Following a 2016 College Cup appearance, Georgetown is the overwhelming favorite as the Hoyas earned all nine possible first-place votes and swept all three preseason major awards . The Hoyas' Rachel Corboz nabbed the BIG EAST Preseason Offensive Player of the Year, while Georgetown's Elizabeth Wenger earned the Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and Arielle Schechtman earned the Preaseason Goalkeeper of the Year.

The BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll, major awards and all-conference selections are based on ballots cast by the league's 10 head coaches, who cannot vote for their own teams or student-athletes.
