OMAHA, Neb. – The Creighton women's soccer team suffered a 3-1 defeat, falling to Marquette in Morrison Stadium on Thursday, September 28.
The loss dropped Creighton to 2-5-4 overall and 0-3-0 in BIG EAST play, while Marquette climbed to 5-5-2 on the season and 2-1-0 in conference action.
The Golden Eagles jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 3rd minute (2:03) as senior Hailey Block delivered the first of her two goals in the match. Block finished a play from the top of the box off a one touched a pass from senior Elsi Twombly.
