Indianapolis, Ind. -- Despite a strong effort against a team receiving votes in United Soccer Coaches Association poll, the Creighton women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Butler on Thursday, Oct. 18.
The loss moved the Bluejays to 6-9-0 on the season and 3-4-0 in BIG EAST play, while Butler rose to 11-4-1 overall and 5-1-1 in conference play.
Defending their own goal for much of the first half, the Bluejays limited Butler to just seven shots until a flurry in the final minute of the frame sent the Bulldogs into halftime with a 10-1 edge in shots.
