HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- The Creighton women's golf team opened the spring 2020 season by winning 2-of-3 matches at the Motor City Cup, a rare match play event. The Bluejays defeated Northern Kentucky (6-0) and Oakland (3-1-2) before falling in the event final to IUPUI (5-1). The tournament was played at Las Colinas Golf Course at Mission Inn Resort & Club in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
Sophomore Katie Wilson won all three matches she played in and was one of three Bluejays to own a winning record. Freshman Claire Orcutt and sophomore Katie Allen both went 2-1, while junior Margaret Hickey and freshman Gabby Tremblay each went 1-1-1 in three head-to-head battles.
