MCALLEN, Texas -- Freshman Eleanor Hudepohl tied for fourth place to lead the Creighton women's golf team to a fifth place finish at the UTRGV Invitational in McAllen, Texas, on Tuesday.
Hudepohl topped the Bluejays with her third top-five finish as a Bluejay. The freshman fired rounds of 74, 76 and 76 for a 226 total. That landed her just three shots behind meet medalist Haeri Lee from Drake.
Hudepohl's classmate, Katherine Lemke, opened with an 82 on Monday and improved each subsequent round with loops of 79 and 76 for a 237 total to tie for 30th place.
