LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Jaylyn Agnew and Sydney Lamberty combined for 44 points to lead the No. 11 seeded Creighton women's basketball team to a 76-70 victory over No. 6 seed Iowa on Saturday, March 17th in Los Angeles, Calif.
Creighton (19-12) advances to a Second Round game against No. 3 seed UCLA, which defeated American 71-60. The Bruins defeated the Bluejays 72-63 on Nov. 25th in Las Vegas, Nev. Iowa ends its season with a 24-8 mark.
The teams were tied at 19 after one quarter after Agnew's lay-up beat the buzzer.
