OMAHA, Neb. -- In Creighton's first sporting event of any kind since March 12th, the Bluejay women's basketball team dropped its season-opener to Drake by a 75-62 score on Wednesday, Nov. 25th.
Temi Carda led Creighton with 18 points and eight rebounds, while freshman Emma Ronsiek recorded 13 points and six rebounds in her collegiate debut.
Creighton (0-1) trailed 29-17 after one quarter against a hot-shooting Drake (1-0) team that shot 75 percent from the field in the opening 10 minutes. The Bulldogs made 12-of-16 field goal attempts, including 4-of-5 three-pointers, and owned a 10-3 lead on the glass.
