OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton women's basketball team raced to a 16-0 lead to start the game and never trailed in a 64-38 victory vs. Georgetown to open BIG EAST play on Friday, Dec. 3, at CHI Health Center Omaha.
Creighton improved to 4-2 (1-0 BIG EAST) with its third straight win, while Georgetown dropped to 3-4 (0-1 BIG EAST) following a second consecutive setback.
Morgan Maly led a balanced Bluejay offense with 12 points and shared team-high rebounding honors with six.
Georgetown was paced by Shanniah Wright, who shot 5-for-5 from the field en route to a career-high 13 points.
