Omaha, Neb. – The Creighton women's basketball team was honored Tuesday, Aug. 2nd as the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its winners for the 2015-16 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll. The Bluejays ranked 16th in NCAA Division I, with a team grade point average of 3.498.
Creighton is one of two BIG EAST institutions honored in the top-25 as DePaul came in 21st with a 3.470 GPA. The Bluejays have now earned the WBCA Academic Top 25 Honor six times in head coach Jim Flanery's 14 seasons at the helm. It is the first time since 2010-11 when Creighton was fourth overall.
