CINCINNATI, Ohio -- The Creighton women's basketball team scored 22 points in the fourth quarter to down Xavier, 53-52 on Sunday afternoon at the Cintas Center.
Olivia Elger scored the game-winning basket with 30 seconds to play and Rachael Saunders made a block on the Musketeers' final possession to seal the victory.
Creighton improved to 6-9 in BIG EAST play and 12-14 overall, while Xavier dropped to 11-14 overall and 2-12 in league play.
The Bluejays shot 60 percent from the field in the fourth quarter and held Xavier to only two field goals during the final 10 minutes of play.
