OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton women's basketball team fell to No. 10 Connecticut, 56-76, on Wednesday, Feb. 2 inside the DJ Sokol Arena.
The Bluejays fell to 15-6 on the season and 9-3 in BIG EAST play with the loss, while the Huskies improve to 14-4 overall and 9-0 in conference action.
The first quarter saw the Bluejays took an early 6-0 advantage as sophomore Lauren Jensen canned a pair of three-pointers, after forcing a shot-clock violations on the Huskies first possession of the game. A pair of three-pointers and a pair of layups by sophomore's Molly Morgensen and Morgan Maly helped push its lead out to 18-6, before taking a 20-11 lead into the second period.
