Villanova, Pa. -- The Creighton women's basketball team suffered a 74-64 setback at Villanova on Sunday, January 23.
The loss moved Creighton to 14-5 on the season and 9-2 in BIG EAST action, while Villanova climbed to 11-6 overall and 5-3 in conference play.
Down 23-13 with 8:00 remaining in the second quarter, the Bluejays seized control with a 21-3 run over the next 6:29 to take a 34-26 advantage (1:31).
Creighton returns to the court on Friday, January 28 at D.J. Sokol Arena against Providence in a 6:30 pm tip.
