LAWRENCE, Kan. -- The Creighton cross country teams battled stormy conditions at the Rock Rim Farm Collegiate Classic on Saturday, October 5.
The Bluejay women wound up in third place, and the CU men placed fifth. Host school Kansas won both races. The start of both races was delayed two hours by lightning throughout the Lawrence area.
Sophomore Danielle Hotalling led the Creighton women with an eighth place finish, crossing the finish line on the 6K course in a time of 23:56.8. Hotalling passed five runners in the final mile of the race to secure her third top-10 finish in as many races this fall.
