OMAHA, Neb. - Freshman threw a career-high eight innings and 176 pitches but it wasn't enough as the Creighton Softball team lost 7-5 in eight innings to Villanova on Friday, April 15th at the CU Sports Complex.
and each had three hits and an RBI on the day for Creighton (14-19, 4-11 BIG EAST), which outhit Villanova (21-19, 9-4 BIG EAST) 11-8 in the contest. Villanova has now won seven straight games and moved into second in the BIG EAST standings.
Villanova dented the scoreboard first with a pair of runs in the top of the third inning.
