LAWRENCE, Kan. -- No. 17 Purdue stayed unbeaten with a 3-1 win over No. 9 Creighton on Friday morning at the Kansas Invitational in Lawrence, Kan.
Scores of the match in favor of Purdue were 25-21, 25-15, 22-25, 27-25.
The Boilermakers (7-0) hit .411 in the match while holding the Bluejays (5-2) to .234 hitting.
The Boilermakers set the tone for the match in the first set, overcoming an early 10-3 Bluejay lead with an 11-1 run to take the lead for good. Creighton got as close as three at 19-16 before PU pulled away with the next three points.
