Omaha, Neb. -- Behind five strong innings from senior Austin Stroschein, the Creighton Baseball squad bested intrastate rival Nebraska, 5-2, on Tuesday, April 18 to collect its seventh straight win.
The victory pushed the Bluejays to 15-16 on the season, while Nebraska fell to 21-14-1 overall.
The Bluejays got out to a quick start as freshman Isaac Collins drew a one out walk, stole second then scampered home on an RBI single from sophomore Michael Emodi in the bottom of the first.
Creighton's lead grew to 3-0 in the as the Bluejays took advantage of a Nebraska error.
