Beaumont, Texas – The Creighton softball team captured its best start to the season since 2018 with a pair of wins on day two of the Cardinal Classic in Beaumont, Texas. The Bluejays notched a 9-8 win over Ohio before posting a 5-2 win over New Mexico.
The Bluejays improved to 7-2 on the year, its best start since 2018 when the Jays also started the year 7-2.
In game one, the Jays scored early and often with eight runs in the first three inning. Creighton produced a run in the first before exploding for six runs in the second and another run in the third.
