PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Creighton softball team dropped both games during a BIG EAST doubleheader against Providence on Saturday at Glay Field in Providence, Rhode Island. The Friars won 4-3 in 12 innings during the first game and 5-3 during the second game with a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the seventh.
The Bluejays moved to 1-4 in league play and 11-13 overall, while the Friars improved to 3-2 during BIG EAST action and 19-12 overall with the pair of walk-off victories.
Creighton forced extra innings in the first game of the doubleheader with a pinch-hit home run by Kailey Wilson with two outs in the top of the seventh.
