Box Score 1 EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – The Creighton softball team defeating former MVC rival, Illinois State, 8-2 before falling to SIU Edwardsville, 5-2, to earn a split on the final day of the Cougar Invite.
The Bluejays moved to 11-6 on the year with the results, while Illinois State fell to 5-16 and SIUE improved to 8-9 overall.

The first game of the day saw the Bluejays push across four runs in the second and two additional runs in both the fourth and fifth innings to secure an 8-2 victory over former MVC rival, Illinois State.
