Omaha, Neb. -- Coming off a Covid shortened 14-14 seasons in 2021, the Creighton Softball team is primed for a full and successful 2022 campaign. On Thursday the Bluejays were picked to finish fourth in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches Poll, which would send Creighton back to the BIG EAST Tournament for the first time since 2018.
Villanova was picked to claim the title after reaching the NCAA Tournament in 2021 with six first-place votes and 62 total points. DePaul is just one step back with three first-place votes and 58 points, while Connecticut (48 points) and Creighton (41 points) round out the top four.
