INDIANAPOLIS -- The Creighton softball team left 12 runners on bases and fell 2-0 to Butler on Sunday afternoon.
The Bluejays dropped to 16-12 (4-2 BIG EAST), while the Bulldogs moved to 12-19 (3-3 BIG EAST).
Creighton won the overall series after sweeping a doubleheader against Butler on Saturday.
The Bluejays recorded four hits, walked six times and had one player hit by a pitch, but Creighton left two or more runners on base during five different innings on Sunday.
Butler scored the lone two runs of the game during the bottom of the fourth frame.
