OMAHA, Neb. -- Due to forecast calling for freezing conditions throughout the weekend, including possible snow on Saturday, Creighton and Arkansas-Pine Bluff Softball have mutually agreed to cancel the Bluejays' first home series of 2017.
Slated to begin their three-game series on Saturday, March 11 at 12 p.m., Creighton head coach Brent Vigness and Golden Lions' skipper Kevin Montgomery cited the likelihood of unplayable conditions as well as player safety concerns as the reason for the decision. Additionally, the temperature for the weekend is not forecasted to be above an agreeable playing wind chill of 32 degrees.
