VILLANOVA, Pa. -- The Creighton softball team picked up its first shutout during BIG EAST play to split a Saturday doubleheader against Villanova at the VU Softball Complex in Villanova, Pennsylvania. The Bluejays lost 6-0 during the first game of the day before needing only five innings to shutout the Wildcats, 8-0, in the second game.
Creighton moved to 13-18 overall and 2-9 in BIG EAST play, while Villanova pushed its record to 20-18 and 4-4 during league play.
Laura Roecker allowed only four base runners during the Bluejays' 8-0 victory.
