OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton softball team used three home runs to power past Georgetown, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon at the Creighton Sports Complex.
The Bluejays trailed 2-0 before hitting three homer runs to claim the third game of the weekend against the Hoyas and secure the series win after splitting a doubleheader on Saturday.
Creighton improved to 9-3 during BIG EAST play and 24-14 overall, while Georgetown fell to 5-12 in league play and 14-35 overall.
The Bluejays were held out of the hit column until the bottom of the fourth inning. After a walk, fly out and sacrifice bunt, Jayci McGill lifted her fourth home run of season over the left-center field wall to tie the game at 2-2.
