El Paso, Texas - The Creighton softball team kicked off the 2022 season with a 6-2 win over Idaho State as both teams began play in the UTEP Tournament on Friday, February 11.
Creighton returns to action later this evening as the Bluejays face tournament hose UTEP at 8:00 pm (CT).
A couple of throwing errors in the opening frame cost Creighton as Idaho State seized a 1-0 in the top of the first. Creighton responded in the second as junior Sam Alm worked a four-pitch walk, followed by a pair of RBI triples off the bats of sophomore Alyssa Gappa and junior Kiera Mills.
