DENTON, Texas – The Creighton softball team concluded its trip to Texas with a 4-0 record following victories against Prairie View A&M and Grambling State on Sunday at Lovelace Stadium during the Schutt Invitational hosted by North Texas.
The Bluejays downed the Lady Panthers 9-5 before shutting out the Tigers 11-0 in five innings.
Creighton moved to 7-2 overall for the program's best start since 2012.
Kelli Finan drove in four runs and Ashley Cantu scored four times as the Bluejays defeated Prairie View A&M 9-5 during the first game of the day before Bryana Clark and Logan Black combined for a no-hitter and allowed only one base runner in the second game against Grambling State.
