Box Score 1 STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The Creighton softball team dropped a pair of contests to Akron and Tarleton State on the first day of the Texan Invitational in Stephenville, Texas. The Bluejays fell in the opener to Akron, 4-0, before falling 3-1 to host Tarleton State.
The pair of losses moved the Bluejays to 2-4 on the season, while Akron improved to 1-0 and Tarleton State moved to 5-3 overall.
In game one, Creighton managed just one and three walks as Akron's Haley Croyle struck out a career-high 12 batters in the one-hit shutout for the Zips.
