LINCOLN, Neb. – The Creighton softball team dropped a 9-0 decision to Nebraska on Saturday afternoon at Bowlin Stadium in Lincoln, Neb.
The loss drops the Bluejays to 16-10 on the year, while the Cornhuskers improved to 15-12 with the win.
After a scoreless frame, leaving a pair of runners on base in the top of the first inning, Nebraska opened the scoring with two runs in the bottom half of the frame to jump out to an early 2-0 lead. Following a five-pitch walk by Brooke Andrews, the Cornhuskers placed their first run on the scoreboard with an RBI triple to right by Ava Bredwell.
