EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Creighton softball team fell to Evansville, 2-0, in the finale of the Evansville Softball Invitational at Cooper Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The loss drops the Bluejays to 10-7 on the season, while Evansville improves to 13-5 overall.
Creighton and Evansville battled in a pitcher's duel as the neither team was able to push a run across until the fourth inning.
The Bluejays threatened to put a dent on the score board in the second as junior Kailey Wilson worked a lead-off walk. Sam Alm then reached on an error by the Purple Aces second baseman, which allowed Josey Marquette to advance to third.
