Box Score 1 PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Creighton softball team dropped both games of a doubleheader against Providence on Friday afternoon at Glay Field in Providence, R.I. The Friars earned a 5-0 shutout victory in the first game of the day before securing a 6-5 walk-off win in the eighth inning of game two.
The pair of losses drops the Bluejays to 20-29 on the year and 4-16 in BIG EAST play, while Providence improves to 15-28 overall and 6-14 in league action.
Due to a shift in the upcoming forecast, Creighton and Providence will now wrap up the three-game series with a single game on Saturday with first pitch scheduled for 10 a.
