CHICAGO -- The Creighton softball team claimed two victories on Sunday at Cacciatore Stadium in Chicago to earn a series win against DePaul during the Bluejays' final road weekend of the regular season. Creighton ended the day with a 2-1 record after completing a 7-5 victory in a suspended game that started on Saturday morning and claiming a 6-4 win during the final game of an originally scheduled doubleheader against the Blue Demons. DePaul earned a one-run win during the first game of Sunday's doubleheader, 6-5.
The Bluejays improved to 7-11 in BIG EAST play and 19-22 overall, while the Blue Demons dropped to 10-4 during league play and 31-12 overall.
