OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton senior Sarah Eversman has been named BIG EAST Golfer of the Week, league officials announced on Thursday morning. She shares the award with Butler's Lauren Tibbets.
Eversman's fourth place finish helped the Creighton women's golf team to a season-best fifth place showing at the Loyola Fall Invitational on Tuesday.
She fired rounds of 78, 76 and 77 to post CU's first top-five individual finish since Kelsey Petersen placed second of 45 entrants at the South Dakota Coyote Classic on Sept. 21-22, 2015. It was Eversman's third career top-10 showing in 34 career meets, and the Scottsdale, Ariz.
